Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actress, best known for her performances in the movies Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! The actress began her career in the 1980s and came to popularity with her role in the Tezaab film, in which she appeared with veteran actor Anil Kapoor. Her next film was the film Dil In which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. In Mumbai her home, she grew up in a family of middle-class parents. As a child, she began to learn about age, she started to learn dance. At the age of 16 She began to act and was a victim for a few years as the majority of her films at first were unsuccessful. The actress gained fame and was one of India's leading film actresses. She took a break from her career due to her marriage, before going back to the industry of entertainment. In the past, she was an important part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women living in India. Dixit was awarded 8 Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen nominations she received. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit, the fourth most prestigious civil award in India. She is known for her work in the field of social service as well.
